The Careum Foundation has been involved in further education and training in the healthcare sector for over 130 years. In recent years, the Careum Campus, which enjoys a central location in the learning district of the city of Zurich, has been constantly developed in line with the motto, «teaching, learning and researching ‒ from each other, about each other and with each other.»
With the construction of the Careum Auditorium, which commenced in February 2015, the Foundation is now taking the next step towards creating an interprofessional campus for teaching and research in the healthcare sector, thus making a key contribution towards solving the acute shortage of space in the university environment.
The new Careum Auditorium in Zurich’s university quarter is located underground; however, thanks to state-of-the-art lighting technology, this has no impact on the ambiance in the room. The hall can be divided into four separate parts, and is equipped with the latest technology. It has capacity for a maximum of 495 persons with theater-style seating and for up to 300 banquet guests. The Auditorium is scheduled to be ready for use in November 2016, and can also be hired for external events from January 2017.
