Rapperswil lies directly on the shore at the upper end of Lake Zurich, overlooked by its imposing medieval castle. The picturesque town is renowned for its numerous fragrant rose gardens. From Zurich, Rapperswil is just a 35-minute train ride away. The Town of Roses is also connected to Pfäffikon on the opposite side of the lake via a dam.
The footpath along the wooden footbridge across the lake is particularly impressive. A great walk to clear your head after a meeting and free it up for new, creative ideas.
A Variety of Venues
Groups of up to 300 persons can meet and celebrate in feudal style within the historic walls of Rapperswil Castle. From summer 2022, the castle will undergo renovation lasting two years, after which it will once again shine in new splendor.
With ENTRA, Rapperswil-Jona now has another large-sized hall. Events with up to 1,000 people are possible in the new culture and congress center, in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town.
Guests can take a breath of radio air next to Rapperswil train station. The Radio Zürisee Loft is housed in a former dance hall, and offers stylish surroundings and state-of-the-art equipment for events of all kinds.
Knies Zauberhut has a real circus atmosphere: the charming venue resembles a circus tent and is situated in the middle of Knie’s Children’s Zoo. In turn, the zoo offers a wide range of opportunities for out-of-the-ordinary supporting programs.
The backdrop at Enea Landscape Architecture is no less enchanting. Nestling in a magnificent lush-green parkland, it features a wide variety of spaces for every requirement, from modern to classic. There is even a tree museum here.
The Bächlihof Jona has a more rustic feel. All kinds of activities can be held here, from small workshops to large-scale events with 2,000 participants. In addition, the Farmyard Olympics on the adventure farm strengthen team spirit in a fun way.
For peace-loving connoisseurs and lovers of fine wines, the Höcklistein Winery is well worth a visit. The elegant room below the vineyard is suitable for both private and business meetings. When the weather is fine, guests can enjoy the sunset on the terrace with a glass of wine.
On the opposite side of the lake is the seminar hotel, Seedamm Plaza. Numerous rooms and spaces for up to 1,000 people, together with flexible catering options, offer virtually everything event organizers could wish for.
At the southernmost point of Lake Zurich, directly overlooking the harbor, is the Marina Lachen hotel. The meeting and banquet rooms on the upper floor treat guests to an unobstructed view of the lake.

Active Social Programs
If the beautiful backdrop of Lake Zurich does not provide enough entertainment and inspiration, the Rapperswil-Lake Zurich region has other suitable social programs to choose from.
Rapperswil itself can be explored in many different ways – whether in the traditional manner on a guided tour of the Old Town, or by solving thrilling puzzles on a Foxtrail.
Groups can conjure up a tasty meal together at a cooking or barbecue event. For those with a sweet tooth, the chocolate workshop is just the thing. Of course, there is also plenty of opportunity for tasting.
And for those who have always wondered how William Tell shot an apple off his son’s head can have a go at crossbow shooting for themselves. A steady hand and a high degree of concentration are also required for archery and for office or hotel golf. The latter option can be played just about anywhere.
