The Marktgasse Hotel is to open in Fall 2015 after two years of careful renovation. Situated in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town, it combines a boutique hotel with two restaurants and a bar. The historically listed building, which was first mentioned in writing in 1291, has retained its authenticity. Elements such as the stuccowork, paneled walls, tiled stoves and pillars have been preserved and bear witness to the establishment’s historical heritage.
The 39 rooms, which have been lovingly furnished with many design classics, all have different layouts and special features.
The hotel accommodates a library and adjoining salon on the upper floor. Both can be hired individually or together for business meetings or private events. The library has a meeting table with space for up to 12 people, as well as modern technical equipment for presentations or video conferences. The salon features an inviting living room atmosphere with seating for 14 people. The delish Café take-out attends to guests’ catering needs.
