The Hiltl Vegimetzg, housing Switzerland’s very first vegetarian butcher’s shop, opened in November 2013 next door to the Haus Hiltl, the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world.
At the “butcher’s counter”, customers can purchase meat alternatives such as tofu, seitan, tempeh, paneer or soy sausages, as well as the popular Hiltl tatare, Züri-Geschnetzeltes or cordon bleu, all made using meat substitutes.
The Grab & Go range offers fresh salads and sandwiches to take out, while the wine shelves are filled with quality wines that perfectly complement each and every vegetarian menu.
Due to the constantly changing Covid 19 measures, it is currently impossible to keep all opening hours on the zuerich.com website up to date. Therefore, please check the website of the respective businesses or institutions before visiting a restaurant, shopping or museum.
We thank you for your understanding and wish you a pleasant stay in Zurich.
