Review of the Zurich MICE Days 2021

What do you do when a destination has developed further but there are hardly any opportunities to show this to a broad public?

For Zürich Tourism, it was clear: as soon as the coronavirus safety restrictions allowed, the Convention team invited professional meeting planners to spend two days in Zurich so that they could get an idea for themselves on location.

On September 16 & 17, 2021, the time had come. Instead of conducting what were normally rather run-of-the-mill site inspections, the participants could look forward to a wealth of unforgettable experiences.

Day 1: Relaxed Networking

On the arrival day, awaiting guests at the 25hours Hotel Zurich West was an easy-going networking evening, featuring all kinds of culinary delights, musical interludes, and enchanting elements. Those who wished could even compete in a game of ping pong.

Day 2: Inspiring Tours Through Zurich

The following day, participants had a choice of five themed tours, all of which had plenty to offer:

Brand new venues, including The Circle Convention Center, the Lindt Home of Chocolate, and the newly renovated Zurich Convention Center
An out-of-the-ordinary look at proven venues and hotels
Countless ideas for urban social programs that evoke a vacation feeling

The things that could be discovered along the way were as diverse as Zurich itself: there was everything from newly-opened venues to animal encounters, to relaxing massages, to boat trips and virtual flights of fancy.
